Syria, pro-Damascus sources said, exposing the limits of U.S. policy

this battle,” a commander in the regional alliance that backs Damascus

A woman was hanged in the Central Prison of Orumieh. The execution of
this woman took place at dawn on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, along with
two other male prisoners. The identity of the executed woman has not
been made available, yet.
With this execution, the number of women executed during Hassan Rouhani’s presidency amounts to 83.

• UN panel ‘ignoring Iran-funded terror’
A TOP UN body has been accused of turning a blind eye to Iran-funded
terrorism and violence in Bahrain while being critical of the kingdom’s
rights record.
Members of the UN Human Rights Committee (HRC) also did not reach out
to Bahrain-based civil societies to verify claims of “gaps” on the
kingdom’s political and civil fronts, it was alleged.
The HRC reviewed Bahrain’s first-ever International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) report in Geneva last week.
